Hotel Near Phuket Airport?

Can anyone recommend a decent hotel close to Phuket airport? I only need it for one night as I'm transiting there and will continue my journey the following morning. If I have to go closer to one of the tourist towns then so be it but I'd prefer to stay close to the airport as I won't have a lot of time to see much anyway.

Cheaper the better but clean and good rep.

Simon34 sounds much better than Simon43 - I feel younger already.

Yes, I sold up a few months ago, but the hotel is of course still there, as well as a few others within a short distance of the airport. Google will easily find you further details.

Try the new Holiday Inn in Mai Khao about 10 minutes from the airport. Looks very nice on their website.
