Us 110V To 240V

Featured Replies

Hi guys, probably not the correct section but as its electrical related then i feel this is the best place to ask the question.

we want to purchase a new kitchenaid food mixer.

it is made in the US and therefore 110v, the seller says it comes with its own transformer which is ok, but will it effect the power of the machine (500w)

and will it effect the machine at all?

many thanks for your help.

"it comes with it's own transformer" - so does it have a switch on the unit for 110/220v? Usually appliances with motors are affected by the frequency (60hz vs 50hz) and some don't handle the difference very well. Anyway... if it has the selection for voltage - you should be good albeit it may not run quite the same as in the sates.

Is this a commercial unit at 500W? "Comes with its own transformer" so the voltage should not be a problem but the 50Hz could effect it depending on the type motor inside.
