Relatively new to Thailand and now have the entire family on the Non-Immigrant Visa. However I have an issue. We got our original visa in Bangkok for one year, however we have now transferred to another office in Phuket. I was lucky enough to put my visa with multiple re-entry when in Bangkok but now the family need to do some traveling. I have been told by the HR team at work that the family needs to go to Bangkok to get the multiple re-entry and they cannot do it here in Phuket. Seems a huge hassle for something that I thought could be done in Phuket. My work permit shows a transfer to Phuket, so I thought this would mean something.

Any advise or this is reality?

Re-entry permits are issued by the office providing the extension of stay if not on a visa entry. So if on one year extensions of stay suspect they will have to obtain from that office. You might plead flooding and hope for the best.

The best thing to do is for you personally go to Phuket Immigration with all of your documentation, explain the situation and have them write down exactly what they will accept and what you have to do. Listening to others is like accepting a greased football!

You are supposed to apply at the office that issued the extensions.

As you have now moved to Phuket they may well do it there.

The only way to find out is to ask them.

You could present Phuket Immigrations with a "change of address" and see if they would then issue the re-entry permit. There is a form, whose form number eludes me at the moment, specifically for reporting an address change to Immigrations. I have the lower part of one stapled in my passport, but it does not include the form number.
