Can a farang open a company with 4 Thai people and all of that and than only work with a salary less than amount now nessasry to get a one year visa?

Can he get a 3 x 4 times visa and does he need to get a new work permit after every time he go out from Thailand?

A foreigner must have a Thai partner, with the Thai partner(s) having a majority of shares in the company.

For the rest, yes. There is no minimum ammount for a visa, there is one for an extension of stay. You would get a single non-B and thereafter with a work permit could get multiple non-B's and leave the country every 90 days. No, you would not need a new work eprmit every 90 days. It is no longer connected to your permisison to stay and you can get one for 1 year at a time.

When you say a company you mean a Thai company ltd with 4 staff? Is there anyway around that? Can the person use a smaller company of any sort?

Married?

So what is the process?

set up a company?

apply for a work permit?

apply for a visa?

Married?

Yes only 1 million baht in capital and two employees when married to Thai national.

So what is the process?

set up a company? Check #1

apply for a work permit? Check #2

apply for a visa? Check #3

Or start with Item #3, there's no problem starting a company and get a work permit on a non-O visa based on marriage.

You do not mean this person can get a work permit with a marriage visa? He need to get out of the country and change it to a B visa right? After he got the work permit?

No minimum salary or anything like that?

Depends on your location.

Normally you will get a work permit when extension of stay based on marriage.

Up to the labour office to decide what they see fit as salary, I have a WP with 30.000 baht income.

i want to thank you for the answers but some making me confused.

So you mean now people do not need a B visa or company to get a work permit they can get a work permit just being married?

The person in question just want to work part time since he is retired but not old enough to get the retire visa.

There is no change you must obtain a work permit to work - a work permit would not normally be issued for retirement extension of stay but could be for marriage and those married are likely to be here on non immigrant O visa or extensions from that entry and work permits are routinely issued at most locations. You never have to have a personal company but must have a job with a company to obtain the work permit so part time jobs would be problematic. Perhaps if a volunteer position would offer more chance.

ok.

Work permit can be issued from a O visa married but the word permit still need to be in a company regardless.

Can get a 4 x 3 month visa Non B with a 1 year work permit but still need to be attached to a company.

If a Thai company hire on bases on a visa 4x3 month is there a lower salary? Or can the person set the salary with the company?

Is there a list of lowest salary for a non 1 year visa? Is the visa based on the salary or is the work permit based on the salary?

There is no 4x3 visa - non immigrant visa would be single or multi entry in almost all cases. Multi means unlimited during the one year it is valid and each entry would be max of 90 days. Most Consulates will no longer issue such visas as you are expected to obtain extension of stay from immigration if working here but may provide with show of many months remining on work permit (8 or more most likely).

So now you really saying different things, what ever it called multiple entry business visa 90 days times 4 times.

What you are saying that there is no chance to get a visa for 90 days times 4 multiple at any consulate or embassy even with one year work permit. That really contradicted the first post in the thread.

Thank you for your help

When a visa is multiple, it means that you can use it an unlimited number of times during the validity of one year. And each time you enter you can stay for up to 90 days.

A multiple non-immigrant visa is not limited to a certian number of entries. Only a tourist visa is given with a number of entries, like 1, 2 or 3 entries.

Lopburi further states that you can get a 1 year multiple non-B at certain consulates in the region, provided you have at least 8 months left on your work permit. So the first non-immigrant visa would be single and ater that you could get multiple non-B's if you meet certain criteria.

KL is the only consulate that will give you an 1 year non-B in south east Asia.

Try another continent.

So just to make this simple

CAN get a multiple non B with a 1 year work permit but not working full time? Not a full year but multiple?

Is it depending on how much salary or work?

What do you mean KL is the only one that give non B? So everybody who work need to look elsewhere?

What we are trying to do is get a work permit for a person that want to work with a salary under 200 000 THB
