นายภิมุข สิมะโรจน์ ผอ.องค์การสวนสัตว์ ในพระบรมราชูปถัมถ์ เผยเมื่อช่วงดึกที่ผ่านมา เกี่ยวกับการตามล่าเจ้างู กรีนแมมบ้า งูพิษร้ายแรง ที่หลุดออกมาจากบ้าน แถวปากเกร็ด โดยมีรายงานข่าวว่า เมื่อช่วงเย็นที่ผ่านมาว่า สามารถจับได้แล้ว 2 ตัว ซึ่งทาง ผอ.องค์การสวนสัตว์ ยืนยันว่า งูที่จับได้ไม่ใช่ งูกรีนแมมบ้า แต่เป็นงูเขียวห้างไหม้ กับงูท้องเหลืองเท่านั้น

ล่าสุด มีรายงานจากชาวบ้านในพื้นที่ดังกล่าวว่างูกรีนแมมบ้า น่าจะหลุดออกมาจาก หมู่บ้านคาซ่าแกรนด์ ราชพฤกษ์ ถ.ราชพฤกษ์-แจ้งวัฒนะ เพราะงูกรีนแมมบ้า มีราคาสูง ตัวละ 1-2 หมื่นบาท โดยล่าสุดเจ้าของงู ได้ติดต่อกลับมาที่เจ้าหน้าที่กรมอุทยานฯ แต่ไม่ยอมเปิดเผยตัว เพราะกลัวความผิด

ขณะที่ มีรายงานข่าวชายวัยรุ่น ย่านหลักสี่ ซึ่งเป็นผู้ประสบภัยน้ำท่วม และออกมาอยู่ที่รับรองผู้อพยพ ถูกจระเข้เข้ากัด ขณะนั่งอยู่บริเวณน้ำท่วมแถวนั้น ก็ได้มีจระเข้ ขนาดใหญ่ ราว 1 เมตร เข้าทำร้าย โดยหนุ่มโชคร้ายรายนี้ เผยว่า จระเข้ตัวดังกล่าว กัดที่ขาขวา เป็นแผลเหวอะ แต่โชคดีที่มีเพื่อนเข้ามาดึงตัวช่วยไว้ได้ทัน และตนถูกนำตัวส่ง ร.พ. รักษาบาดแผล เย็บกว่าร้อยเข็ม ส่วนจระเข้ตัวนั้น ก็หนีไปได้

ทั้งนี้ หนุ่มหลักสี่ รายนี้ยังเผยอีกว่าต้องนั่งเรือฝ่ากระแสน้ำท่วมออกไปโรงพยาบาล เพื่อล้างแผลทุกวัน ยังมีรายงานอีกว่า มีชาวบ้านย่านหลักสี่ เกือบถูกจระเข้กัด อีก 1 คน โดยชาวบ้านรายนี้ใช้ไม้ตีน้ำ เพราะคิดว่าเป็นท่อนไม้ แต่กลายเป็นจระเข้ พุ่งกระโจนเข้าใส่ จะกัด แต่สามารถหลบได้ทันอย่างหวุดหวิด

While I'm translating this, I find one interesting blog entry in oknation.net. It refers to trading venomous snakes in Thailand. Since it's quite long, I'll just put in the important bit.
