Accommodation

There are 4 of us travelling to Pattaya in February 2006, we are happy to stay at one of the Beer Bars that have accommodation. We are not interested in swimming everyday, however, should we wish to go swimming one day, can we pay some money to use the pool at one of the hotels (we are not interested at swimming at the beach).

If there are Hotels that allow this, I would appreciate some feedback with peferred choices and cost if possible.

Regards

John

flipper hotel Soi 7.

walk in like you are a guest at the hotel. Thake the elevator up to the roof top pool, order a beer and jump in the pool :D No questions asked :o

All for free (except the beer of course)

ASTRAL excuse my ignorance, but what do you mean by "throwing out time" ?

John

Astral means if you stay above a bar the beer is virtually on tap so there is no home time...........its difficult to leave the bar and get back upstairs to your room unlike a hotel. :o

IRC,

Nothing wrong with staying above a bar, just remember NEVER to shag one of the girls in the bar otherwise bringing girls back from other bars will be troublesome.

You can pay to use the Hard Rock pool on a daily basis. Theres one on top of Mikes Mall which you pay to use or as said just waltz in to either of the Flippers like a guest. If your buying beer no one really minds.

If budget is tight I suggest Annajet bar Soi 7. Basic but clean and cheap. I am desperate to ###### the gorgeous Anna but alas she is faithful to her boyfriend for now at least.

Tims is a good choice but more expensive. Don't let Tim herself put you off with her 'I'm in the Thai mafia' bullshit.

Plus a zillion other options. Really just down to budget.

Are you travelling on a budget? If so, how much are you prepared to pay each night for accommodation?

Rooms above bars may be cheap and convenient but can be extremely noisy if you want to get to sleep early one night.

As for the pools, many hotels will allow outsiders to use their pools free provided you spend some money in their shop. (food and drink)

If they want to charge you, the going rate is about 50 baht per day.

I don't think it's much problem finding a pool somewhere. Either ask the hotel, or even don't ask and just go jump in. Lucky for us farrangs we can blend in easily and look like we belong. Thais of course could not get away with this.
