Seaweed

Featured Replies

Hello All,

Here in Queensland, there is this reddish-brown seaweed that is always at the beach. It floats around in the water in clumps and depending on the tide there can be almost none or lots. I don't know what it's called.

It's not poisonous or anything, but my partner is allergic to it so can't swim in the ocean here as it gives him a nasty and painful rash all over his body.

I'm wondering if this seaweed grows/exists in Phuket?

Many Thanks

Dem
