dear all ....

after having read so many articles on-line and havent found what I am really looking for, its time I seek expert's advices...

my boyfriend, who is a British national, and I are planning to get married and also get the marriage visa for him.....in April.

there are a couple of things im a lil confused..

1. how can he get a work permit by starting his own business?.

2. what business is allowed for westerners?

3. to start a business aka a company, does it need a different set of documents and capital when my bf is on a marriage visa, as compared to other types of visa?

PLEASE HELP guys.....

this is my first time posting something on here, and i have no idea how to follow this or if when someone posted a reply??

He cannot start his own business, he can only own a minority share in a Thai business, where at least 51% is in the hands of Thai nationals.

Being married to a Thai a Thai national will reduce the capital requirements for a work permit for him.

He should best come here on a tourist visa, do all the paperwork to get married then apply for an extension due to being married to a Thai if he qualifies, if not go outside of Thailand to get a Visa.

Yes, if it is a Thai company than no problem. Above list only applies to jobs that a foreigner s not allowed to do. He can hire Thai people to do it.
