Photos Needed When Applying For A Non-Immigration O Based On Marriage

Featured Replies

Dear all experts :)

i am just wondering, you know when my BF, who is a British national, is going to get an the non-immigration O based on marriage (as he is now on a tourist visa) at the immigration at Chaeng Wattana, we also need to photos of us around the house as one of the documents required..

i am just wondering, as I have just bought a condo and therefore have my name switched from the Tabien Baan of my parents house to this condo..however, its under the construction..so DO we have to take photos of us being in the condo? or can we just take photos of us being in my uncle's house since I was living there for 3 years since being back from NZ (i dont live at my parents as they live an hour away from BKK and i work here). so basically, do photos of the residence have to match up with the house address in the Tabien Baan that my name is in?

Thank you :)

they want photos to prove that you are married, and that the address he puts down on the form is a real address, he could put down the address of a hotel.

I used photos of the engagement, the wedding and photos of our condo, in fact I have used the same photos for 3 years now, and not changed, but I think I might have to in the future.

Do not believe the photos will be required for conversion stage - only for extension. You can ask then if not planning to be in condo by that time.

A lopburi states the photos are required for the extension.

Thank guys!

but for the photos we bring, does the place shown in the photos have to be the same as the one included in my Tabien Baan?

well, it seems for us, the wedding will have to be after the registration..as how everything has been planned out..

our wedding is in April but we are getting registered next month..this is alright, right?

my wife is registered at a different address in her Tambien baan than where we live, the photos just show we live together.

Registration for what?

Do you mean the Amphur wedding first then the Wedding party for the family?

I was married at the Amphur 2 years before having the Village party (although was held at Ruanjaowsao).

In past it was not a problem being registered somewhere else but under new system you are only allowed to apply for extension in the province you live (at the office assigned that province). Suspect it may complicate a bit but if have leave or other proof of residence will likely be allowed.

As for family wedding that will not be a problem having later - some offices do ask for photos of wedding but never a requirement as the registration is the official requirement.

Remember it is not important where you are registered, it is important where you BF (husband to be) is staying.

Like stated before I used photos of the engagement, but get someone to take pictures of you at the Amphur, with the certificates in your hands, it is a photo I always use when extending.

You have done a lot of research on this for your BF (husband to be), normally the guys will try find out everything, great to see a woman taking the time to find out everything and report back to her other half, well done.
