Nice Little Day Trip

Featured Replies

If you need a spur of the moment day trip, I would recommend this place. Nice Chinese Wat/temple on the way with interesting story (JeeKong). The park is nice and clean and there is limited eating facilities. The highlight is the waterfall (PooKaeng) for a good bit of exercise going up the nine stages. Would recommend a walking stick on the way down. They also have rather nice and spacious tents for rent if you wish to camp. (300?} Looks to be other trails for a walkabout. Did not take the camera but here are some bad phone pics.

The turnoff is south of PhaYao (Km 773?} off Hwy 1 and is a little hard to spot the red signs. in the middle of a very small village. Was using GT Rider map but still missed it going south.

Sorry about the sideway pictures. Got lazy.

Wat Ji Gong is well worth the trip, the waterfall is interesting but be warned you need to be very fit to climb to the top.
