December 6, 200520 yr Not quite. We didn't close shop and leave Thailand until Nov 2. We arrived in the States on the 3rd and my wife had her green card in the mail in about 10 days.
December 8, 200520 yr I have just returned from the U.S. where I Married my Tgf of 4 years. I am going to do a dcfHas anyone have any experience with this? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Technically, in Bangkok, you don't do a DCF. Since there is a BCIS office in Bangkok, if you are a resident of Thailand they will process the application and forward to consulate for interview, etc. The time frame I have heard is 3-6 months to issue of the visa. From the 2 people I know that have done it Bangkok, the process is fairly painless, but not without its frustrations Since you have not been married 2 years, she will be given a conditional green card on entry to the US and then will need to apply for advanced parole in order leave the US again without invaliding the green card. If you are planning on staying in Thailand, not sure I see any advantage in getting the green card now. She will be able to easily get a 10 year tourist visa based on your residency in Thailand. TH
