I did my wife's and our 2 sons in Ubon Ratchathani. It took less than 30 mins to do it all. Very efficient

Ubon Ratchathani seems to be the best option. They're planning to do passports in Sisaket, but no idea if it's already open. Sisaket's on the way to Ubon anyways......jap.gif

The Korat Thailand Passport Office provides excellent service, free parking and for 30 baht they EMS the passport in about one week. They even stay open and process customers during the lunch hour. One of the very best Thailand Government offices my in-laws have ever used.

Just renewed one of my daughters passports there a couple of weeks ago. No queues and very helpful.

The Ubon passport office (and it sounds like Korat is the same) - which coincidentally I was at for a second time in 3 years yesterday - was the most impressive customer-focussed government agency office I have been to in my 60 years anywhere in the world. No fuss, no wait, flexible (some of our documentation for an informally adopted daughter was not quite by the book but the senior duty officer waived the book!) and no need to take your own picture which then gets rejected as being not quite the right dimensions. Thais are not always the dumb asses that some of us on TV paint them out to be!

We have the right answer already for the OP's location in southern Isaan, Just for completeness though, the other two offices for passport renewal in Isaan are in Udon Thani and Khon Kaen. The latter was closed for a long period after the fire in the provincial building, so anybody going there should check that it has re-opened.

Anybody know if they make passport in Sakon Nakhon

The implication of 'completeness' in Sarotti's e-mail suggests he has researched the subject and that the answer to your question is no - only Korat, Ubon, Udon and Khon Khaen. If you want to check then Google Thailand immigration passport and search the English language version of Thai Immigration's website - I've seen a list of locations there myself before.
