Is It Easy To Find Condos That Rent For A Month In Phuket?

Featured Replies

Hi all just wondering if it was the same as Pattaya where u can just rock up to a condo reception and rent it out at a month by month basis?

As in Bangkok It's hard to find anyone that will rent a condo for less than 3 months, just would like to know, oh and I'm thinking of renting in either Patong or Karon if that helps answer my Q... thanks

Look for holiday villa rental website.. http://www.siamrealestate.com/

Ok thanks... though I was more meaning places that do not have websites, where you just ride around a location you fancy and just go to reception and ask to rent for a month etc? I have found many gems this way before, but never tried in Phuket..

In Phuket town there are quiet a few condos taking walk in monthly rentals, from 7k baht with AC, fridge and flatscreen

In Karon there are very few low end condos. Its increasing in Patong, but still not that many. A small pattaya or bkk condo at 800k baht, cost 2,5 million in Patong or Karon

many apartments tho, so no problem to find something

I agree with KBB. Not much chance in Karon. There is a new place in Kata called Kata Ocean View that have a management company and reception. Bit pricy !!

Some managed condos are springing up in Patong along the so called new road, runs behind the big Jungceylon mall, 3 roads back from the beach. But not a big choice, month by month deal, hope you have a good budget. High season these places are full and pricey. Low season starts April, prices go down a big chunk and usually lots of availability.

Ahh ok, thanks KBB and LK, though I got a hotel booked for the first 2 nights, and during this time I'm going to get a scooter to ride around these areas you mentioned near the beach, don't mind being away from the beach and all the action, as I'll have a scooter to get around, hopefully I find something, I don't mind either apartments, or condos as long as it's modern, aren't the differences purely for the buyers anyway? .. cheers all..

what are some names of places in phuket town taking walkin monthly rentals? im in the same situation man in a few days im going to cambodia to see the wats ande then im off to phuket for a month...

The waterfront at Karon has one and two bedroom serviced apartments.

Its the only one I can think of in that area.

I am looking at spending 4-6 months in Phuket from May to October so that I can do some surfing. I live up in Chon Buri but will be taking my car, so anywhere on the island would be fine. I'd even consider somewhere convenient on the mainland if I had to.

What would I be looking at for a clean, two bedroom rental?

Any names or contact details appreciated.

^You're aware that rips are prevalent during low season?
