Where To Buy A Tot Netsim In Pattaya?

Featured Replies

i visited the main TOT office on Pattaya Klang, and couldn't buy the NetSim, because it was out of stock. The lady recommended me to visit the Telewiz kiosk to get it there, but they didn't have it too. So i'm wondering - where it can be bought then? Any recommendations will be highly appreciated.

Can you share any details re: your exact situation?

Is your application strictly a data application? How much data inn GB do you think you'll use each month? Do you already have a device: phone or air-card? If so, exact make.model please.

Are you based in Pattaya?

All the service providers offer NetSIMs, but really any SIM can be used and then (nearly) any data plan can be applied to it, so no need for a special "NetSIM".

I am pretty certain (according to their coverage maps) AIS/One-2-Call have 3G service in Pattaya. I think TOT (2100 Mhz 3G) users may roam onto AIS, but TOT's coverage website does show ~ 3 towers in the Pattaya area. Finally, TrueMove H have 3G coverage in Pattaya on 850 Mhz.

edited to add: You should be able to just about any SIM in any market, 7-11, phone shop, shopping mall, IT mall. SIMs are generally 49 or 50 baht, although the TrueMove H SIMs are 99 baht (Smartphone, iPhone; 149 baht for the iSIM; if TrueMove H buy the Smartphone SIM assuming your device takes a normal-size SIM.)

I would try both Tukom and the tesco lotus as they both seem to sell many different kinds of sims for different providers. I find tesco have the better prices as at Tukom sometimes they tack a charge onto what the true cost is.

thanks for the replies!

i currently use AIS 3Gb package, though i quite often download something from torrents, etc, so my average download usage is around 20Gb, so i wanted to use something fully Unlimited, and seems there's only the one option so far - a TOT Netsim for 790 Baht.

I've checked in Tukcom, but couldn't find where can i buy it. I didn't check the Tesco yet - i guess it solds in the one of the mobile shops there? so, hopefully, will find it one time somewhere :)

Tesco sells them back in the area they sell TV's and stuff. They are usually all handing on the wall but they might have been moved. Just ask a salesperson when you are back in that area.

FWIW, I think the TOT 3G unlimited NetSIMs are 790 baht for 15 days, and 1,490 baht for 30 days but they do have a promotion through April 30, 2012 which doubles the duration, to 30 and 60 days respectively.

I've seen TOT NetSIMs in 7-11s (in Bangkok) and in many phone shops (again in Bangkok), it looks like they have a service outlet here: http://www.tot.co.th/index.php?option=com_maps&view=maps&Itemid=82〈=th

If you are referring to the TOT Net Sim unlimited for 30 days -you might want to check with TOT before you buy. It's not working anymore. I bought a new one yesterday and it won't connect using either of my aircards It register bars on the screen but the connect button stays grey .

I called the shop at Fortune and was told that they have stopped making 30 day NetSims but will be introducing 7 day Sims. This is a bummer because it's been great - no limits -and I use a lot of gigs. I use a HuaWei 560 wifi Aircard and an I- Kool real 3G Aircard which previously worked well with the TOT Net Sim

Pity the salesperson didn't inform me of the at time of purchase -wasted a few baht I did.

If you are in Bangkok and you want to buy a TOT Net Sim anyway...Connex 4th floor MBK has them for 850 baht - you may have better luck than I did.
