What'S This Little Small Grey Box For Outside My House ?

Can you tell me what this box is/was for ? My guess is it's for an old land-line telephone, so no power supply, but would just like to check before I pull it out. I've noted on the picture what the wires are connected to. The black 'incoming' wires seem to be wrapped around the main electric supply cables coming into the house. Thanks.

yeah, it is the landline telephone cable.

'not connected' but then where is your ADSL ( internet ) connection coming from ? on a second box, or cable internet, or you are on aircard ? just check before you remove it.
