Was a great escape from Bangkok. Have seen better beaches but great people and very user friendly. Would be back there tomorrow if I could.

living there is pure joy.

I must say that on the two ocassions we have been to HH we found it really nice.

The ONLY downside when we were there was the smell from the toilets as you access the beach area.

However this was 2 years ago so maybee its better now.

I seriusly considered it as a place to put down my roots here, but it just lost out to CM as it is cheaper to live day-2-day here.

But I will be going back soon for a holiday, charming town and plenty of ex-pats (if you want to socialise with them?)

The beach, and the other beaches. I live south, far enough from town to have different beach and water. Today two friends from CMai and I rode bikes down the coast south of Pranburi, where there are unlimited stretches of fairly primitive beaches, and some developed ones.

You can't get an idea of any place in just a few nights, or a week in a given neighborhood. Cities are big and extensive; I'm discovering more about HHin every week.

I go back to CMai occasionally, but don't miss the smoky air during the dry season, or the raucous roar of tuk-tuks. One of my two guests is seriously thinking of making the move, too; that will make four of us who have gone from CMai to Hua Hin. There goes the neighborhood..... :o
