1 Itunes/Pc - 1 Touch And 1 Ipad2 (New) - Apps Question

Featured Replies

I need to work on my future brother in law's iPad. He doesn't have a computer so this is being done on my girlfriend's PC. I am not so much worried about the music, that can be reloaded. But iTunes is a freak when it comes to deleting shit.

I am very worried that when I connect the iPad to the PC it will sync and I will lose all his apps. Very worried when I sync music will delete apps.

How are the apps managed on multiple devices?

Prefer to manage all this through one appleid if that matters.

Thanks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If you connect a device new to your itunes it will only check for updates an check status and inventary. But wont sync.

You have then the chance to set anything you like to sync.

In order to sync stuff from your account you need to autorize the device to use with it (itunes will ask for that) on firse sync.

But you can not merge apps bought/installes with the other account.

Connect the ipad to gf computer and make a backup.

Then connect to yours and sync it (old apps will be removed)

If you return it, restore the ipad on gf pc with the backup you made before there.
