Between Oasis gogo and Seaside 2 resturant, there is a bar that employ men to plesure woman.

Barfine for a white boy is 700 baht, or at least was, of which you get to keep half.

You also get an income for each beer that a woman buys you, and of cource a good tip for a night. It is very late working hours, or should i say early ?

Five star hotels also provide woman with services, but this really require connection to get a foot in

probably shouldnt even ask but ............why do u know how much it costs to bar fine a young white boy ?

I was talking with mama-san over the conditions if i got to work there,

btw i'm not that young, i was perhaps 36-38 when i made the inquiry,

a work permit wasnt included in the deal

Women aren't going to pay for sex.

See all those bars? They are a testament to how imbalanced the sex drives are in men and women.

Women do pay for sex.

Haven't you seen any karaoke bars with a staff of young men? When the girls are sick of servicing elderly foreigners, some will go to these places and buy a young Thai stud for a session after they finish work.

lol do they really have farang prostitutes in bars for Thai women? that had to be a joke right?

Why would they be just for Thai women? Look at all the unattached women on holiday, looking for adventure. Some percentage of them will go for a relatively cheap, totally anonymous adventure in an exotic land...

there is a location they can go for drinking with the young men and choose one of them also (the men get paid to entertain as well and of course drinks are ridiculously over priced )

this is in japan also and im sure korea and singapore have it also, any place rich women whos husbands are too busy to care what theyre doing :)

identical to the way a man can have a drink with some ladies ,and then choose the one he likes

this will only get more popular as the years go on .......

Women aren't going to pay for sex.

<deleted>, the boytown bars on Surawong toward Rama IV have dozens of women customers, especially after midnight. Not nearly as many as gay men true but. . .

Many of the sex workers aren't actually gay, just pretending for money.

Oh, thanks for that!

Here's a suggestion - collect bets on cock fights, or even fights between members here on this very forum;

http://www.thaivisa.com/forum/topic/540863-ten-things-you-will-never-hear-in-thailand/page__view__findpost__p__5144376

of course, you could not do that in Thailand, since that would be illegal, but you could do it from off-shore, virtually...

Not a steady income but try selling stuff on Ebay .

If you know what is popular items you can sell to Europe or US . But be discreet about it or else some Thais might be upset if you sell too much...

I read about a guy who got busted for doing that. Best bet is to let a trusted Thai wife do the shipping part. Probably have snitches in a lot of the delivery places. Be careful.

lose a house ,a business and your life savings ,come back in 3 months and tell us how you feel ......

You cannot own a house here, so how could you lose one?

Can you, or anybody else on this forum for that matter, give me one example of somebody who has bought a condominium or legally owned anything else in Thailand and been deported and stopped from liquidating their assets? I have asked this question before but no takers. This rubbish about not investing more than you can afford to lose in Thailand is so boring. if you came here ten years ago and invested all your savings in nothing more exciting than a Thai bank account denominated in Baht, you would have made a handsome profit. This doesn't stop many people from clinging to the belief that keeping their money at home is safer though.

all i ever hear of is stories of people being cheated out of their money ,wealth ,assets etc in thailand

once the subject ever comes up in conversation ,everyone seems to know someone who lost loads

either by being conned outright or trusting the wrong people like wifes, lawyers ,thai inlaws etc

i heard of an irish guy who got conned by his maid on TV and she forged his documents and stole

money or property

but personally ,i have never been stung big ,just overcharged sometimes on smal items hre and there and the occasional police bribe

when i do something wrong

My wife and I own a spa in London. I am pleased that in the two years since we opened there have only been two customers who have asked for "extras". One of these was female.

Does this London spa give you an income to live on Thailand?

That depends very much on where you came from. The euro, Canadian dollar and Australian dollar are all stronger now compared to the Thai baht than they were ten years ago, so having the money in a THB bank account would have lost you money. The same is the case for the New Zealand dollar, the Swiss franc and all the Scandinavian currencies.

Yes you're right, I should have been more specific. For those from the UK or USA, this simple strategy would have paid dividends. My point was not really that everybody should transfer all their cash over here and leave it in a bank. It was that it is ridiculous to continue to propagate the notion that Thailand is somehow unsafe as a country for investment purposes when, year after year, this proves not to be true.

I am too lazy to dig out figures but over the last decade you could have made a nice profit investing in shares here too.

A few years' stability does not make it a safe place to invest. That is one of the main reasons why you can make big profits; or lose them

I agree with SC above, but, having agreed, I do own dividend paying Thai shares.

The reason that I own Thai anything is that, for me, is diversification.

All my assets are in my countries currency which is close to an all time high against the Thai Baht, so it makes sense to diversify.

So, when you buy Thai anything, have consideration for the exchange rate because it is important.

There is a 10% non-residents tax to pay on the dividends.

When I got to Thailand last year for a holiday there was 90,000 Baht in dividends waiting in my Bank Account, ready to spent inappropriately ... and partly were!

My very limited investments in Thailand are held through HK-based unit trusts with trustworthy organisations like McPoppy & Dope
