Mushroom Growing Supplies

Featured Replies

Looking to buy mushroom spores, the kind in tubes. I bought some oyster mushrooms, there where in plastic bags with a hole in the end, in Sankampeang. Looking for different kinds, any other would be great. More exotic or "wild" the better. Anybody know a place that sells them?

I saw them for sale in the Sunday walking street last night. Only one stand that I saw, just outside Girasole restaurant, and 20 Baht a bag. They seemed to have a choice of about 5 varieties,

Thanks, maybe I can find out where there farm is or get them as I payed 8 baht each for oyster mushrooms and I just ordered shitake for 5 baht ea. from a farm in San Sai

The Doi Kahm fair in December had three or four varieties for sale. The spores were inside coconut shells and the shell was wrapped in plastic. The fair was held at the CMU Convention Centre on Nimmenhaemen.

That's neat, I think we are going to also try a laundry basket with a weave design, should look cool w/all the shrooms growing out of it in all directions

I am thinking of setting up a trial mushroom farm in the vicinity of Nakorn Phanom. Anyone knows of suppliers of spores in that area? Any help will be much appreciated.

I live in Kanchanaburi and our local agricultural college/university sells the mushroom bags/tubes.

Maybe worth seeing if any in your area do the same.

Some pictures of our mushroom project in Sakon Nakhon. The few days after we got the pods ready for blooming was the coldest in the last several weeks! It was not the ideal weather as our variety prefers 30-35 degrees temperature. Some still managed to pop out of the pods. They were beautiful - big, dense, and delicious. As a result of the low yield, many buyers were left disappointed.

The next few days' forecast is looking good - 23 to 32 degrees Celsius. Hoping for better yield.

You boys ought to get your long hair dictionaries online with you and do some googling n phoning together. Plenty of interesting stuff to be found with the right word combos in Thai.

I like the 1st combo below with the word "cheuah" for spore best. I think it also might be that it's closest equivalent would actually be "spawn" or "inoculum" as it's called when already grown out as mycelium on a substrate.

ซื้อเชื้อเห็ดเชียงใหม่ - seu cheuah het chiang mai buy mushroom spawn Chiang Mai

This is the # 2 choice just based on what I found doing some google investigations.

ซื้อสปอร์เห็ดเชียงใหม่ - seu s'por het chiang mai buy mushroom spores Chiang Mai

I see all kinds of things available for sale including spores and equipment.

Have fun. Show us your pix when you get your projects going.
