Thai Visa

Featured Replies

My airline ticket on EVA airlines shows that I arrive in Thailand on January 26 and will leave Thailand on April 27th. However, when I arrive in Thailand I am purchasing a ticket on Egypt Air leaving Thailand (for Egypt) on March 20th and returning to Thailand on April 21st (this is a second air ticket). My reentry into Thailand will be a six day stay before returning on the 27th of April to the US.

I understand I need a tourist visa (allowing a visit up to 60 days) which I am getting before I leave AND this visa will allow me to stay until March 20th . My question is do I need a multiple entry visa ? —do I need a visa for the second entry April 21st - April 27th since it will be less than 30 days? or do I need extenson with a re-entry permit. HELP PLEASE!!!

I am a US citizen 65.

Should be no problem, your second visit is well under the 30 days so a stamp on arrival will do just fine.

VERY IMPORTANT Take your outbound ticket from Thailand with you to Egypt, many airlines insist on seeing an outbound ticket before they will let you board without a Thai visa.

"I don't want to know why you can't. I want to know how you can!"

I believe the airlines only check your return date, if you do not have a visa, and are relying on the 30 day stamp.

In your case you have the Tourist visa and should not have a problem.

BUT if he has only a single entry visa it will have a bloody great USED stamp on it when he wants to depart from Egypt :o

Agree with Crossy..................no problem ,make sure you take your ticket to the US with you when you go to Egypt.

ok so I will have a Visa for my first 55 days in thailand and when I leave i will have a round trip ticket from BKK (Thailand) to Egypt and back to Thailand and also a return ticket from BKK back to the US. So all I need is one Thai Visa to cover my first 55 days and no visa or re entry stamp when I return a month later to Thailand for a few days before catching my flight back to the US?
