Vietnam's new extendable 10-year Visa - will the expat exodus begin?
When I go to Vietnam I feel like when I first came to Thailand. Still an air of mystery and wonder about the place. Wears off after a while I guess. -

Report Philippines Launches eGovPH App for Legal Advice and Public Services
File photo for reference only The Philippine government has introduced eGovPH, an online application designed to provide citizens with legal advice and access to various public services. This initiative, spearheaded by the Department of Information and Communication Technology (DICT), aims to enhance transparency, accessibility, and efficiency in government services. Public Attorney’s Office (PAO) Chief Persida V. Rueda-Acosta announced that Filipinos could now seek legal counsel through the app, where they can directly communicate with lawyers for legal queries. "A lawyer will respond to the queries," assured Acosta during an interview on PTV’s Bagong Pilipinas Ngayon. Acosta explained that eGovPH complements the PAO’s existing 24-hour hotline by assigning at least two lawyers and support staff to handle inquiries via the app. She emphasised the importance of having legal personnel on duty to ensure continuous service, stating, "It's really important that someone will answer immediately concerning questions on laws." Launched in October last year, the eGovPH app was designed to facilitate better interaction between the government and its citizens. According to DICT Undersecretary David Almirol, the app provides platforms for services such as business registration, tax payments, and access to public documents, thereby streamlining processes and bringing essential services closer to the public. Acosta's remarks highlight the significance of immediate legal assistance in informing citizens about their rights and the laws of the land. By making legal resources more accessible, the eGovPH app not only empowers individuals with knowledge but also helps bridge the gap between the government and its constituents. Overall, the launch of eGovPH marks a vital step in modernising government services in the Philippines, ensuring that legal and administrative assistance is just a few taps away for Filipinos nationwide.
