Featured Replies

Go to bed one night, shut down in the normal way.Next morning,"no or limited connectivity",restart ,OK.A few changes overnight, both Firefox and Chrome are searching using Yahoo.A bit of Googling again back to where I want to be,searching with Google, sort of,when attempting to shut down,'Start>shutdown comp' the usual,,the black monitor,ok but the box wont turn off have to turn the power at the wall.

Also my my IP address has changed and using TV "My IP address" I'm now being told I live in Nonthaburi, when I'm in Chiang Mai?????????????????????Confusing

Any ideas.

Thanks in advance.

It is normal for your IP address to change (unless you've paid extra for a static address).

Your info is a little vague. Is the initial problem that you're having problems connecting to the Internet?

What operating system are you running?

Is your antivirus up to date? Have you done a full scan recently? Are your Windows Updates up to date? Have you scanned for malware?

Are you using WiFi or connected via Ethernet cable?

Shared WiFi (hotel/residence) or dedicated service (apartment)? Who is your Internet Service Provider?

Thanks for the reply Mowgus. XP,3bb,Ethernet,Full Malwarebytes and Spybot scans,no troubles. Same lack of connectivity again this am.Restart OK.Somehow now I can turn off on the front of the tower, guess I can live with it. Thanks again.

Lack of connectivity should only be a transient network problem at you ISP
