Cost Of Replacement Power Adaptor For Laptop?

Featured Replies

I want to get an additional power adapter for my Lenovo laptop and was wondering how much they might cost in Thailand at somewhere like Pantip?

Should I get an official Lenovo one or will a generic one be ok?

Thanks

For a Dell I was quoted 1,500 Baht for an original and 900 Baht for a copy.

I would expect most other brands to be the same.

Thanks. Which one did you get?

I went with the copy as it was two pronged and the original is 3 pronged. Cost 1000 vs 2000 for the branded one, no issues at all-batteries are another story stick to the brand.

Get an universal one. will cost you around 600

I purchased a genuine Acer one for 900b a few weeks ago.

Bought one of those for 450 2 yrs ago, outside of Bangkok.

Btw I had all kind of power adapters die on me here in Thailand: one original, one branded copy, one universal. *sigh*

I found they where cheaper on ebay,if you buy from a hongkong/china seller that will post to thailand . I have purchased two this way with free postage

TRUE

Just watch the unbranded and universal models.

Make sure they are capable of delivering the same current (amps) that the original did.

e.g. My HP adapter is designed to give 4.7A at 19V
