would like to hear to hear thoughts on buying a studio condo in bangkok, off sukhumwit around soi 13, a new condo building that is being built (mods might prefer i not use the Name here, but some will guess). nice view, pool, fitness center, near bts.

the unit is for approx. 2.4 mill baht.

in particular with an eye to renting it out in 1-2 years for income. anyone have good or bad experience doing something similar? i really need some guidance on this.

If you are talking about "The Trendy" condominium, I wouldn't bother.

Well overpriced for what rental return you might get from it. Also, for what it's worth, it's not a new build, just a refurb of an existing building.

You can do that, but, if you expect the rent to cover the cost of the unit, plus something extra for you and your GF, you should lower your expectations.
