Lately, I have noticed loads of diffetrent outlets- pharmacies, supermarkets, tailors! in farang areas that now carry a "photocopied" version of the british tabloids. I have seen copies of The Sun, The Mail, Times etc on sale for 200b but surely this is illegal???

( Not that I care if The Sun's profits diminish due to piracy!!!!) :o

Yes, I have noticed the same in Bookazine (Silom) and in that store next to the gas station at the entrance of Soi Four Sukhumvit.

Highly illegal and definitely infringes on the copyright that these publications hold.

I was surprised that they were also priced at two hundred baht; The Sun, The Mirror, The Times etc (UK publications) for what afterall were a few pages of photocopied material, with content stolen at that!

I'm pretty sure they won't be around for long. Too obvious, with all this talk of preserving intellectual property rights - even here in Thailand!

Might be a good idea to grab a copy though, as they'll probably end up being collectors' items in someone's world!

Also, haven't examined them too closely, but why would anyone want to buy a copy when you can get the original for less than two hundred baht, unless they contain additional supplements.
