I know of only one who did an astrology reading for me at the Red Cross Fair in Suan Amporn last year. I only did it for a laugh 'cuz my Thai friends egged me on but he was uncannily accurate. Interestingly, he does the Red Cross Fair every year and sees it as a way of making merit by donating his fees to the organisation.

His English is good and I was told he's a professor at a uni somewhere in Bangkok. Last year, he ran classes in astrology reading for Thais near Ban Phatom Market in Banglamphou, opposite Wat Bovorniveson Th. Phra Sumen. One of my Thai friends attended and said it was very good.

I'm away from Thailand for the holiday season but if you're interested, I can e-mail my friend and get his contact details. I'm pretty sure he does private readings and lives in the Bangkok area.

In the Asia Hotel (Right next to Ratchathewi BTS Station), there are usually 4 or 5 general Soothsayers, at least 1 does Astrology reading and another is a Palm Reader, all speak English and theres at least 2 there every day

wander around the pier below Thammassat ... or around many temples .... or in the first alley between Suk Soi 5 and Soi 7 ... you'll find them there .... some speak Englsih ... some don't

Just stroll around in MBK.

Some Indian guy will approach you and tell you are a happy person but think too much.

Wow, I thought how does he know?

Then he continued telling he is a Swami ore Rami something like that and not many time us foreigners can meet such a person. Then he told me how much I would pay if he could tell me the name of my mother.

I was very surprised because I know my mothers name why he thinks I not know (I was thinking).

He told me it was very difficult but I told him I can tell him the name of my mother no problem.

He was asking 2000 Bath to tell me her name, I got so confused, is the name my mother told me not her real name? so I told him that and he got a bit angry and said : OK 1000 Bath and I will tell you. I told him that a phone call to my mother would be cheaper.

This really happened but also another thing happened to me when I was living in Holland.

My friend took me to a fair where those kind of people were doing handreading Tarot and stuff like that. My friend came to me and she was so excited and told me to follow her.

Ok I said no problem. Then I was placed in front of a lady and she told me to reach out my hand.

AShe took my hand and after a while she told me details about my past and present that only I could know. I never answerd her questions/ remarks but she was spot on.

Then she asked me if I wanted to know my future and I declined.

So maybe there are good ones outthere you never know.

I know for sure there is more between life and death.
