Getting A Thai M'Bike Licence.

Featured Replies

I currently do not have an international m'bike licence, though I have my home licence.

Can I get a Thai m'bike licence based on my home qualification, and if not, is it difficult to get a Thai one. ie, do I need to have good spoken Thai, need to write Thai etc.

Thanks for any help.

There are quite a few posts in the Motor Forum about getting a car/bike license. A quick search should yield most of the required info.

No you do not need to speak or write Thai.to obtain either. Contact your local Licencing centre and ask exactly what documents they require as does seem to vary slightly from centre to centre. You may have to sit through a road safety video and or multiple choice highway code test as well as take the practical - which if you are an accomplished driver already should pose no problems.

I only have a Thai car licence, but I believe a motorcycle licence will be the same. Unless you have an International licence you have to do a written and a practical test. The questions are in English as well as Thai.

I have basically same question. Since I have been living China last 10 years, my USA license has been expired. Can I still use this to change to Thai license? Can I change Chinese license to Thai license?
