Online Delivery Confirmation Via Tracking Through Thailand Post To The Us

Recommended Posts

Hi,

I need a online verification of delivery of small package for an ebay return (not signature, just delivery) (to the US)

I know Thailand Post has *Track and Trace: EMS* but when a few weeks ago I sent another registered letter

and that tracking number trace stops at *SUVARNABHUMI MAIL CENTRE Container Received*

So it appears that Thailand Post still does not connect to the international online tracking systems.

Is there another level of tracking available at Thailand Post or should I go with another carrier? (recommendations)

It is a small box about 6 ounces.

If I cannot get an online delivery confirmation then ebay will not issue a refund.

Any suggestions would be appreciated, thanks

If you have sent a registered package to the States it should appear on www.usps.com

Thai post do not update tracking for any registered items to any country on their site, tracking stops after it has left the Airport, I think they only provide it with EMS

EMS parcels can be tracked on USPS and Thai post.

Registered parcels cannot be tracked on USPS and Thai post when they leave the country.

I have sent registered mail from the hereto the US a few times. Registered mail will appear on the Thaipost website when it leaves the country and again only after it has been delivered.

The USPS website will only show when it arrives in the US and when its delivered.

Here's my experience. Last three items I've sent "registered" from here to the USA I could not confirm being received. Like a couple posters said, all you can see online is that it was received at Bangkok. After that, forget it. Really doesn't do any good to send things registered, IMO.

Slightly off topic, but this might be of interest to you. There is an iPhone, iPad app called "Parcel" that you can use to track deliveries. Obviously no good if you don't have either device.

That is the correct answer.

Sorry but that is not the correct answer.

Registered Post to USA will be tracked from Thailand up until it leaves the Airport on Thai Post and also on www.usps.com to say that the item is being processed.

The next tracking info will appear on www.usps.com once the item has reached the sorting depot of the Town/City of where it is being delivered and then again once it has been delivered.

As an ex ebay seller who has sent hundreds if not thousands of packages registered to USA I can confirm that this is certainly the case

Although saying that over the last year or so the USPS site became a little unreliable with some registered items showing tracking info and some not.

A recent item sent to the States from Thailand in March.

www.usps.com

Tracking number RR033165170TH

Clearly showing tracking info as being delivered.

2000 REGISTERED parcels sent for 2012, NONE can be tracked on USPS, do you want all the numbers to check ? So i repeat, only EMS can be tracked on USPS for me.

There must be a reason and I want to find why.

I ship to all states, parcels and letter size items in envelope.

What do you and to where ?

It only shows when it's successful delivered. No tracking between the point where it leaves the country of origin and point of delivery. That is for registered mail, many people confuse registered mail wit EMS.

Maybe you should check out the number I have supplied to see that registered mail IS tracked to the US?

All registered items start with the letters RR, EMS starts with EE

If you cannot track that your items have been delivered to the US then you are either searching the wrong website or you are not sending them registered

The proof is above, check it out before shouting

I have checked your proof, you are right, but please you should also understand that I am not retarded and when I am saying that registered mails to US that I send (and other people here) cannot be tracked, I know what I mean ! We send more than 5000 registered parcels a year and they can be tracked almost anywhere in the world, even Russia, but not USA, so I want to find reason why, maybe our parcel size ? The way we write the address, our company stamp ? The problem is not Thailand post, I have already investigated and I am sure it's on the US side that my parcels are not scanned, but why ? Thanks for your help.

That particular item was a shirt sent by small packet.

I have sent hundreds if not thousands of items to the US by registered mail and the tracking info has always shown online

If yours are not showing on the USPS site then sorry but I have no idea why.

In my experience, Registered Airmail will show upon leaving Thailand, US wont show en-route but will show final delivery as proof of delivery.

EMS will show en-route all the way to the recipient.

We also have experience with sending numerous small packages to the US and other countries on a monthly basis using Thai Post Registered Mail. All package deliveries are confirmed through usps.com. It works the same as Delivery Confirmation in the United States. Tracking information however, can only be obtained bu using an expedited service such as EMS, FEDEX, DHL etc.

It is important to realize that in the US there are actually 2 different ways your EMS packages can be delivered. They can either be delivered directly by the post office, but more and more often today they are delivered under contract by DHL. When the packages are delivered via DHL the tracking is excellent. and is exactly the same as the tracking you receive sending with DHL directly. The updates appear on both the Thailand Post website and the USPS website.

However, for registered mail and vanishingly few EMS shipments these days, you get the traditional US postal service updates. These updates are limited to very specific points along the route, such as arrival center, entering customs, leaving customs, and delivery. Even more annoying, often times these intermediate steps don't show on any tracking site until the package is actually delivered, and then they all appear at once.

The problem here is not so much the type of shipment, but the carrier who performed the last mile delivery. More and more EMS shipments today are done by DHL, and therefore you get excellent service. Registered and a few EMS shipments are handled internally by the post office, and for these you get their kludgey, inadequate system. But in my experience 80% - 90% of registered mail does eventually show up on the US side if you wait long enough. It just isn't real time.

Most of the time tracking of REGISTERED letters and parcels (not EMS) is not updated on USPS.COM

And if you send EMS be careful as sometimes DHL delivers EMS in USA, so the tracking number is changed and you are not informed, so you cannot track on USPS nor Thailand post.

When DHL delivers EMS on behalf ot USPS the tracking number is changed and you cannot track your item any more on USPS.COM, you also don't know that DHL has your parcel and you don't know that the tracking number has changed.

It seems that the U.S.P.S. is not properly updating tracking on its website currently. I sent an EMS letter to the U.S. on August 15, 2012. The U.S.P.S. website only shows "Acceptance" in Thailand on that date. The Thai Post website shows eight scans in the U.S. and delivery on August 20, 2012, but U.S.P.S. still only shows acceptance. Thai post even shows the name of the person it was delivered to in the U.S. It appears that due to budget cuts and layoffs they are scanning the packages but data is not migrating to their track and trace system. Weird it shows on Thai Post but not on U.S.P.S. website. That's a switch for a change. Thai Post tracking is kicking butt over U.S.P.S. Here's photos to show what I am talking about.

Hey Everyone,

I sent a parcel from Australia to Pattaya (small box weighing 800 grams) through Australia Post's Express Post International. They use EMS in Thailand. They assured it would be delivered in 2 to 4 Business days . I have been tracking it online and it is now showing a status "Attempted Delivery" on Monday 3rd September 2012, even though the recipient did not recieve it. Further tracking on thai post website shows the package location as Bang Lamung and Delivery as "others" . Can anyone please advise the best way to retrieve that package or what is thai post's policy regarding packages that cannot be delivered at the first attempt. Do they revisit and try a second time or do they leave a notification for the recipient to pick it up from the local Post office ?? Also, i had sent the package through the highest level of Express registered courier from Australia.. The online tracker does not show which Post Office is holding up the package now.. It just says Scan location " BANG LAMUNG " ... Can anyone PLEASE HELP .. ??

Cheers

Pattaya is in the sub-disctrict of Banglamung. Most likely the package is at the Banglamung Post Office. Have your recipient go there with their ID and try to pick it up. You can have them try to call Thai Post at 1545 (special 4 digit phone number). The Banglamung Post Office is on Pattay Na Klua Road and quite easy to get to.

http://allpattaya.com/directory/public-services/business/2722/Banglamung-Post-Office

Also track it on the Thai Post website where you might get more information about the package.

Thanks Heaps !!.. I will try that .. hopefully it should be there at Banglamung Post Office.

thanks again for the Info mate :-)

Sometimes post services CHANGE THE TRACKING NUMBER when parcels arrive at destination country.

It happened with parcels sent to US.

So you can call EMS and ask if they stick their own tracking number when parcels are coming from abroad.
