March 26, 200322 yr --- Found this in another forum, and I re-post it here. /George -- Non immigrant type O visa 2 minutes ! Yep thats how long it took me to get one today, multiple entry type O. Walked in to the Thai consulate in Brisbane asked for a visa for 1 year , she looked at me and said ohh you no its $65 for that ok no probs heres the cash and 2 minutes later I have visa not a question asked , nor any documentation required , they did not ask for any paper work what so ever. --- I have been getting mine there (Brisbane) for the last 3 years, I have never struck any other customer in the consulate, so no waiting and the women there is pleasant and helpful. She is a terrific advertisment for Thailand. Wouldn't it be great if all embassy staff were like her?
March 26, 200322 yr George..........the two comments confirm what we always understood to be the case in Brisbane. They seem to help rather than hinder. Seems a good option for those expats unwilling to chance the visa agents.
