My 2month old Samsung GT-6102 still says charging when disconnected from the charger. Even when switched of and disconnected the charging battery screen appears.

Only when you remove the battery it will disappear.

It will charge but I can't use the use the mini usb to connect to my pc anymore. The pc says there is a problem with the usb device. Shop says warranty does not cover the mini usb port uaed for charging/connecting. I did not force anything or use other then the supplied cable/charger but do charge everyday and connect to the pc several times a day.

Any ideas/suggestions? I am not near ant big city and even in khorat (80km drive) there are no English speakers in the IT or telephone shops.

My understanding (and actual experience) of the Samsung warranty is accessories like the USB charger, earphones, etc., that come with the phone have a 6 month warranty, but the basic phone has a 1 year warranty...and the USB port/circuit on the phone is part of the basic phone. Now, if the damage is caused by the User, then the warranty don't apply....like dropping the phone, jamming/breaking the USB port, etc.

When I had one of my previous Samsung phones repaired about two years ago I took it back to the Jaymart shop, they shipped it to the service center, it came back repaired in a week. When a charger died at about the 5 month point I took it back to the same shop, they sent it to the service center, and a new one came back. I"m in Bangkok and the service center was also in Bangkok...all of this occurred for free.

Herw on the Isaan but not near a big city they don't ship them. Even on khorat they just tell you to go to the samsumg office. The same with the car, pc, etc. You sre just send to rhe big city about 80km away. I don't like bangkok but if you have a problem thats the time to be there.
