So What do you think of this thumbsup.gif

The Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 got off to a rocky start after its official announcement at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona this year, after which it returned to the company’s R&D drawing board for a specs overhaul.

And several months later, here it is – the brand new Galaxy Note 10.1 with more powerful innards ready to take over the tablet scene. Or so it thinks. Here’s a quick rundown. The Galaxy Note 10.1 is powered by the same Exynos 4412 chipset with a quad-core 1.4GHz processor and Mali-400MP GPU found in the Galaxy S III. And thanks to the 2GB of RAM, you get a truly multitasking-ready device.

- Screen Resolution

- Weight (more than 500 gram are heavy to hold)

- Samsung is slow with the updates

++ It is not Asus, Samsung has usually good QC.

+ 2 GB RAM

+ USB

Sounds like a nice device....

The screen resolution seems to be the big difference between the asus 700 and the note from the reviews i've read.

usb and 2 GB Ram are also big things

It is the only one I have seen with all the features I feel are a must

3G and WiFi support, Micro Sd slot, and a Fast processor with plenty of RAM. On top of that it is lighter than the iPad (652g) and has Bluetooth 4 support that talks to most devices ot just apple products. Having 2 good cameras is nice but not critical for me

i hope its better the 10.1 first version. It would crash at the browser especially when replying to forums like this. Samsung told me to wait for ics but at 17000plus baht that wasnt a good answer. My note never crashes. well now i am posting on a ipad3

The approximate product positioning is that the Tab 2 10.1 is below (price/performance) the original Tab 10.1 and the Note 10.1 is above it.

Not sure about pricing, nothing announced here yet. A Tab 2 10.1 16 GB w/3G is 15,900 (MSRP) (14,900 wholesale). And a Tab 10.1 16 GB w/3G is 18,900 (MSRP, 13,900 wholesale!).

I guess a Tab 2 10.1 16 GB (which has 3G) would be 18,900 - 22,900 MSRP?

That should read, I guess a Note 10.1 (which has 3G) would be 18,900 - 22,900 MSRP? Was trying to answer Sam Drucker's question re: potential Note 10.1 pricing. Again, that's just my best guess on a range. I was way off on the SGS3 prediction - I guessed 18,900 while it came in at 21,900 so my prognostication abilities are suspect, and hence my use of a broad range!

Are you using a SIM? If so, can you describe the GSM voice features: dial-pad, call quality with/without any kind of headphone/mic?

It looks like the MSRP is 21,900, and wholesale ~ 20,400.

The call quality hands free is perfect. Has everything the same as a phone. Paid 21,900 bht from the samsung shop in ubon. The voice regonition for typing is amazing as well as the handwriting to text. Now all have to do is to find just how much it really does.

Cheers

Had a play in Ladphrao - sensational. It's faster than the S3 with a superb dual screen mode. After 10 minutes putting it through its paces I almost bought one.

Only the fact I was with out a car and planning on getting a bit toasty with friends made me decide to not risk leaving it drunk in a bar.

What's the trade in on an original 10.1 or does the wife inherit one :-D

Sent from Android, please excuse errors in type or judgement.

Bought one 2 weeks ago, amazing machine I can find no faults with it. What I like best is the great sound from the speakers and amazing battery life compared to my kid's I-pad 3. I like the interface having the home, back button, task bar and screen capture compared to the I-Pad's single mechanical button. The video preveiw is great too. A++

Not to my needs (I have the old 10.1 with ICS on it), but I'm sure there's a group of professionals who will find it very desirable, if Samsung can make dirt&shock resistant while retaining the capacitive screen, it'd be a hit.

That wacom mentioned in the specs, is it just marketing BS or is there actual HW involved?
