PATTAYA: -- Police were called to Chris Collection, an Indian tailor shop in central Pattaya on Wednesday to investigate a reported robbery.

On arrival, the owner informed them that his shop had been the subject of a robbery during the hours of closing, and that thieves had stolen 130,000 baht, along with 200,000 Indian Rupees and a laptop computer from a desk in the shop.

Mr. Pawani explained that the money was left in the desk ready to pay the rent and other business expenses.

Officers quickly became aware of the fact that despite the shop having roll down shutters, they had not been either closed or locked and were informed that there had never been a need to close them before as the shop had always been safe and not suffered any previous crime.

PATTAYA:--Money and a laptop computer were allegedly stolen from an Indian-owned Tailor Shop on Wednesday.

Mr. Kishore J Pawani aged 38, an Indian National, owns the Kris Collection Tailor Shop in Central Pattaya and his staff arrived there on Wednesday Morning to find the front door was open and evidence of a disturbance inside the shop was seen.

They called Mr. Pawani who in-turn reported the incident at Pattaya Police Station. He reported the theft of 130,000 Baht in cash, which had been set-aside to pay for the rent and 200,000 Baht’s worth of Indian currency which had been left in a glass cabinet. Mr. Pawani confirmed he had owned the the shop for the last 6 years and closed his shop as usual on Tuesday Night at a round midnight.

He locked his front door but failed to pull-down the shutters which he claimed to never use as he was not concerned that anyone would break-in. When his staff opened the shop they noticed the keys to the front door were on the floor next to the entrance.
