February 2, 200620 yr I've just bought one of these at tesco to copy some big files onto, but it keeps saying please insert a disc when I have already done so. My disc drive is a Samsung DVD/CD-RW SN-324F...DVD/CD ROM. Are these not compatable with my laptop? Thanks for your replies
February 2, 200620 yr Your drive is a combo drive. It can read CDs, CDRs, CDRWs, DVDs, DVDRs, DVDRWs. It can writer CDs, CDRs, CDRWs. The problem is you're trying to access a blank DVDRW. The drive doesn't see any info on the disc (it's blank) and it doesn't have the capability to write to it.
