Take a look at the Honey Hotel on Sukhumvit Soi 19, not too far from the Skytrain. They have a pool and breakfast. About the price range you are looking for.

Don't get hung up on breakfast, breakfast at the Foodland Superemarket lunch counter, on Sukhumvit Soi 5 is around a dollar. The Fortuna Hotel has an "all you can eat" buffet breakfast for for 119 baht, they are just past the Foodland. The Fortuna is in your price range but I don't remember a pool there.

Finding a cheap hotel with pool is a little more of a problem.

There is always the Ratchada city hotel. Its located off one of the sois off Ratchaspeik. Their rooms are about 1000 baht a night but you have to pay for breakfast. They have a decent pool that no one ever uses, always quiet. The hotel is mostly populated by touring Chinese. If your interested pm me and i can give you the exact address.
