I dont know what the new Viagra is, but theres a lot of Viagra and Kamagra on offer along Sukhumvit between Nana and Asoke on the side of the street where all the stalls are. I dont need to use them (yet) so I dont know if they are working but I think that the products contain the active substances, but simply are "pirate copies", like with high quality pirated copies of clothes identical to the original ones The active substances in medications most often cost next to nothing to make, its the research leading to the new chemical that is high in cost, so I think in general that the "pirate copied" medications really do have the active substance in them.

2.I have not said if you would or wouldnt need a prescription from a doctor to buy them.

I know what I have seen, legit or not legit, outside of pharmacies. I havnt asked for prices, but of course it must be cheaper than in the pharmacy.

The question was about the new Viagra. It is in Pharmacies. You have not seen the others for sale at less than 180 baht. The new Viagra is made by GPO (http://www.intergpomed.com/) which is the Thai Government brand if I am not mistaken. The OP was not talking about fakes and forgeries. He was talking about a new Viagra which has been all over the news for the past month.

The GPO generic version of sildenafil, which is what the Op refers to, is widely available in pharmacies, I ahve v=even seen it in Boots on Silom prominently displayed along with a sign saying "prescription required".

To answer the OP's other question, very easy to get a prescription.

An alternative, should you be in Phnom Penh. Generic Viagara (India) is available for $2-$2.50 (60-75 baht) per blister pack of 4. St. 136 (Central market) is full of pharmacies.

Buy the Thai product Sidegra in BKK Sukkumvit, 50 m on the left side to the southeast from Terminal 21 in the pharmacy for 150 THB 4 pieces (50mg each). You need not to go to the doctor before. Everywhere They want the double price, but I know, the real one from a hospital. 50 THB ONE, 50mg. But you must go first to the doctor for search, so is the law. But you can buy it also free, when you have luck.
