PHUKET BREAKING NEWS: -- Phuket police have reported that a 69-year-old Russian tourist drowned off Patong Beach this morning.

The body of the man, whose name is being withheld pending notification of next-of-kin, was found near the northern end of the beach at about 10:30am.

Police believe the man died an hour before his body was found.

"The man arrived in Phuket on November 13 and was scheduled to depart on November 23," the Phuket Gazette was told.

He was 69, that may of been a factor as well.

Read The King Kong Effect (Paul Adirex). That also may hold the answer (fiction). People dying off Phuket, Pattaya, seems abnormal when more than one person dies in the same spot. At least his worries, demons and life are over now but sad for his kin.

I have to say that is just nonsense .... just my humble opinion

Phuket Police suspect 'pre-existing condition' caused Russian tourist drowning

Phuket Gazette

PHUKET: -- Phuket Police suspect that an underlying medical condition led to the drowning of a 69-year-old Russian tourist off Patong Beach yesterday morning.

Patong Police Capt Teerasak Boonsaeng was informed at 10:30am that a body had been recovered by a jet-ski rider from the water off just north of Loma Park.

Police Superintendant Chiraphat Pochanaphan along with Kusoldtham Rescue Foundation workers attended the scene.

“The tourist’s body showed no signs of violence,” said Col Chriaphat, adding that they believe the man had been dead for over an hour before being brought ashore by the jet-ski.

“Our investigation has revealed that the man, Mikhail Bogdanov, arrived in Phuket on November 13 and planned to leave on November 23.”

Col Chiraphat said that Mr Bogdanov left his hotel on Prabaramee Road alone to go swimming. He tried to swim back to the shore but did not make the beach.

“At this point, we believe he suffered an attack from a pre-existing medical condition, or that he passed out while in the water,” he said.

Why do people with pre-existing medical conditions go swimming in the sea instead of a pool???

He was 69, that may of been a factor as well.

69 has always been lucky for me coffee1.gif

rip ....a few years ago a guy had heart attack in the hotel swimming pool ....honey lodge ...the staff saved him ...in the seconds before the attack he was just relaxing in the water .......so lucky people were around ....as i said rip ....is there any place that has more deaths ...either accidental or whatever than here ...the numbers seem astronomical cheers
