Can A Filipino Apply For A Us Visa In Bangkok?

Featured Replies

Is it possible for a filipino to apply for a US Visa in Bangkok? For a working visa or a visitor visa?

Or must they return to phillipines and apply from there?

Any input would be appreciated, I noticed they now have a pay system for visa information at the US Embassy, makes things a little more difficult to get the info.

Thanks!

They'd most likely need to have some sort of long term residence in Thailand to be eligible. Either a non-immigrant visa, or be on a work permit. Embassies don't generally issue visa's to those who aren't resident in the country of application. Thai embassies overseas seem to be the main exception to this rule!!!

You should call the US embassy to confirm this.

Sure you can apply for a visa there.May be refused, though.

I applied for a C1/D visa, completed all forms, gave letter from company and was given a visa for 1 year.Had to return to England and apply again to get a 10 year visa.
