PoorSucker Posted December 12, 2012 Author Posted December 12, 2012 Neighbours are now making 2600 small bags of rice for the event.
Tropicalevo Posted December 12, 2012 Posted December 12, 2012 I guess that the toilet block at MacDonald's will be busy. Heck - where are they all staying? A logistical nightmare.
limbos Posted December 13, 2012 Posted December 13, 2012 Thanks for the reminder PS, knew about it and forgot! Unfortunately I will not be on Samui this coming Sunday but parking is going to be a nightmare.
Tropicalevo Posted December 14, 2012 Posted December 14, 2012 Not looking good for the weather for the boys. Let's hope that it clears up.
Samui Coconut Posted December 14, 2012 Posted December 14, 2012 Not looking good for the weather for the boys. Let's hope that it clears up. Can combine with floating market
Tropicalevo Posted December 16, 2012 Posted December 16, 2012 Well - that was impressive. I forgot about the traffic, so I arrived a bit late , but 'what a lot of monks'. They were still bagging up the alms after the monks had gone. Amazing Thailand Two things that I learnt this morning. 1 Chewang is quite pleasant at 9 am on a Sunday 2 Regardless of what all of the sign say - Tops does NOT open at 9.30 every day. At 9.30 today - not a soul was seen inside. Locked up and dark.
Pineapplesamui Posted December 16, 2012 Posted December 16, 2012 I guess that the toilet block at MacDonald's will be busy.Heck - where are they all staying? A logistical nightmare. I'm guessing they'd be staying in the temples.. Sent from my iPhone using ThaiVisa app

islandguy Posted December 16, 2012 Posted December 16, 2012 One of the best organized events I have been to in Thailand. And yes, Chaweng is surprisingly nice early on a Sunday! 1
