AS/NZS 3000:2007/Amdt 2:2012 was released on the 14th of December 2012.

Please see below for a summary of the major (not all) changes detailed in this Amendment 2.

2.6.2.2. Types of RCD. Expanded information and clarification.

3.8.1. Identification (of installation wiring). Clarification on the use of green, yellow and green/yellow conductors and sheaths.

3.9.8.2. Prevention of mutual detrimental effects between services (Different electrical installations). Clarification on the use of wiring enclosures and multicore cables.

4.4.2.2(d). Protection of socket-outlets. Clarification of the conditions for installation of socket-outlets in locations that are not 'readily accessible'.

4.5.2.3. Recessed luminaires. Extensive rewrite to expand and clarify.

4.18. Gas appliances. New clause.

4.19. Air conditioning and heat pump systems. New clause.
