^^ Casper?

Do tell ... smile.png

Click the links in the previous post. Both Flightradar24 and Casper render animated maps of flights in progress. I find much more information on Flightradar 24 including recently views from the aircraft. It´s a mashup from at least three sites.

Anyone??

.

If the aircraft has a proximity responder and you revealed the time of the shot we could go to Flightradar24 and playback the movement from Suvarnabhumi, but that would be cheating and no fun at all.

Dornier 228 from Google search

Some background information (from Google)

A budget airline based in the Don Mueang International Airport, Solar Air has a fleet size of two Dornier 228’s and a Saab 340A plying the routes of Bangkok, Chumphon, Hua Hin, Phrae, Loei, Mae Sot, and Pattaya.

Also the ROYAL THAI NAVY Dornier 228 operate them from the Khon Kaen Airport

Well spotted tw25rw ... thumbsup.gif ... I had no idea.

That's a Druk Air A319. That would be fun just for the experience of landing at Paro. Bhutan seems to be an 'in' destination these days.

Good spot. I read a novel a number of years ago, I think by Ian Banks, that describes the landing into a remote Himalayan Kingdom. It had the aircraft spiralling down between mountain walls. If this is how the landing at Paro goes its surprising they didn't select the 318 ... or a Harrier.

This morning was an excellent morning for plane spotting ... but I was busy chipping weeds and didn't have my camera ... flying right overhead, banking as they turn into the flight path for the Airport ... looked fantastic.

BTW ... I know Jack S*** about planes ... just sharing life at the farm with you guys.

Actually ... that was a thread I never read ... maybe it started before my time, or when I was still reading the News Forum here.

But people still remember it ... so it must have been debated with much passion ... w00t.gif
