Thank you Harry. Sorry the picture is so small, I don't know why it shrinks. The original was 504KB but it shrinks to 92KB when I upload it. Anyway the architect is a friend of mine and he lives nearby. He also supervised the building.

Doi Mae Salong

I had resigned myself to returning home with no photos as I neared the end on my mt. bike ride today. Suddenly, in the middle of a muddy field stood a solitary tree. Something about it mirrored my mood of late, so I dismounted and circled the tree taking shots from different angles. This is a departure from what I usually post but thought I would do something different this time.

Stumbled upon a new vantage point of the disappearing mountains near Pha Ngam. There used to be three mountain but now there are two.

A few men and some explosive can move mountains.

Unusual effect with no zoom.

A few minutes later with the camera.

With the camera, hand held on 10x zoom.

To the naked eye the bird and bamboo could only be seen in silhouette.

The zoom certainly picks up the smoke.

Our nearby Ing River all dried up and apparently rusting. The rise and fall of the river helps to mark the seasons here in Phaya Mengrai.

Sometimes you can only go so far and no further.

The Ing River again today. The water level is low but that opens up fishing opportunities.

Rode right into a fire on the mt bike today. Got a few quick shots and then got out of there before I got singed.

Up in the hills the second rice crop is looking lovely these days.

Drove up the back of Boon Rawd Farm today and was very impressed with the gardens.

The restuarant on top of the hill looked interesting so decided to check it out another day.

Clear sky and good photo opportunities.
