Can anyone advise me on the turn off road to the passport office coming in from Udon please ?

A possible land mark just before the left turn off would be appreciated so i can be ready to turn safely.

Also the opening times please.

Many thanks for your anticipated help in advance. :o

You are asking about a Thai passport?

If you are driving down Highway 2 (Mitrapap rd) as you enter Khon Kaen you will pass the Sri Nakarind Hospital on your right, continue along until you come to the next big junction (X roads)with traffic lights and turn left into Pracha Samasorn rd. Continue along Pracha Samosorn Rd past the Bus station, on your left, and then turn left at the next traffic lights into Na Muang Rd. The govenment complex is just up this road

Hope this is of help

we are here to help, did you find the place without any problems ?

Hiya bronco

Went this morning following PRE-R,s advice and found it o.k. ( Thanks Pre )

The P.Port office has moved from where i went last time via bus to a new building for E passports

There are several positive things going for it, including larger facilities.

Plenty of helpful friendly staff and well organised with the personal touch.

The young lady in the main office along with the man who are constantly over looking the people filling in their applications and giving on hand advice deserve special mention.

They noticed our problem which was :-

My wife got her I.D. card changed to marry up with the house papers in Udon 3 days ago.

Unfortunately they had spelt her name different so said she had to get a new one.

The 2 people i have mentioned where brilliant, sending her to the K.K amphurs for another one with the correct spelling ( In English )

We had noticed this but thought it was just another minor version/translation thing so thought it would be o.k.

The young lady took care of my daughter and me, making sure she got her renewal and when my wife returned, the lady escorted her straight to a special cubicle where they issued it without having to start queuing again.

They even gave her the office number in case any problems arose at the amphurs, which didn,t.

I wanted to buy the young lady dinner but she politely refused to take anything and was genuinely pleased to help us.

She worked well above her required assistance in my opinion

I have always found that if you show respect, dress decent and present a pleasant demeanour

it is always reciprocated.

The younger government representatives are definitely changing the face of customer attitude

and bringing it into the 21st century, all credit to their supervisors for this modern outlook.

It was yet another pleasant end to a situation i had previously worried about for nothing.

We returned home in a happy mood due to the departments care, attention and professionalism

Kudos to them all :o:D:D
