Where Did The Money Go?

Featured Replies

Hello All

Bought my wife a i mobile two days ago she put 300b in the phone yesterday last night money nearly gone we did not use any wi fi other than in the house havent signed up for any deals the only live set up on the phone is skype i was with her all day yesterday she did not use wi fi when we were out and about we are both on ais i have andriod phone with set up the same only use house wi fi and i have plenty money left on my card .

All info welcome

Most likely the mobile data is not shut of.

If you do not wish to use mobile data (use wifi only) you have to set "use mobile packet data" to off in the settings.

Not doing this and the moment you see an E or H or 3G symbol on top of your screen, you are connected with mobile data and will be deducted 1 Baht per minute on AIS.

Can you share any details? Phone, make/model? SIM, plan?

Assuming the phone has some sort of mobile data capability, and that you have not turned that off, and have not subscribed to any plan, then you are paying 1 baht/min (or 5 baht/MB), which means you chewed through the 300 baht is less than 5 hours.

More details might yield recommendations.
