Thanks. Sunspots are my obsession and this was only the second time I managed to capture those.

Canon sx50hs bridge camera. Almost full optical zoom, which is 1200mm on smaller sensor.

The camera can only do 1/2000s shots so the sun must be just above horizon.

Doi Phu Lanka, Phayao Province at 06:15 this morning.

I love the scattered spooky groundfog. tangaroa. It brings an extra dimension to the photo. Have it here too but I still couldn't capture it properly. Funnily as soon as the sun comes over the mountain edge at 6:25 they all get 'zapped' instantly so you have to be ready with the camera set-up correctly.
