If it were my image, I don't think I'd have tried so hard to make the truck look 'white'. It would actually look more natural if it remained in the shadows. I'd only open up the shadows to the extent that it allowed you to see what it is, and no more. Just my 2c. And my other 2c; exactly what I was thinking about; sometimes it's better to do ...nothing I prefer your first one, where the truck is black .
