Back to supporting heavy racks of bananas... I have only one step ladder, so dreamt up the system I use now: empty 6L water containers, top and bottom removed, split down the side, wrapped around the trunk and tied by strong nylon string to opposite leaning trees on the other side of the clump:

Well, Bundycat, I guess when you get to Samui, we'll have to do a lot of searching to find Hollyhocks here... not even seen up in them there hills, where it's quite a bit cooler... !
