As pictured I have a 2 year old petrol geny and it needs a new carberator as the old one has seized it's neeedle valve and unrepairable.

Im told it is not a Honda motor but told a Hond carb will fit and work but I prefere to go the original route if possible as there are a couple of linkages that need to be right. ie choke.

Could anyone point me in the right direction to a place I could get this part. It was bought at Home pro and I haven't been back as there after care is no existant.

Try Supot Electric on the ring road between Bophut and Maenam (nearer Bophut)..He is usually good at ordering spare parts. Go to the office not the cash desk

I have an identical generator. And a common problem is old fuel clogging the needles. But normally not much can break inside. It just needs a good cleaning. And needles blown through with compressed air after disassembly. When stopping the generator, I now close the fuel and let it run dry and stall, in stead of turning the key. I am hoping that this way less old fuel stays in the carb. My experiences so far are that it does help.

There is a Chinese shop in Suratthani town , in a soi just in front to the nigh ferries pier. He has a lot of generators, pumps, motors, and is serious, professional and with a lot of spare parts.

I got several generators there and a few more machines, always satisfied.

The Sakari has a Honda copy engine. Here in Plai Laem at the beginning of the Soi 8, just opposite the new Family Mart is a hardware shop that sells those generators. Maybe they can order a new carb or clean out your old one. Easier to try here first before going to Surat.
