My wife hasn't slept properly for four days now. We don't have any serious problems and she says she has no worries. We will be going to a pharmacy today to get something but I was wondering if there is a traditional Thai remedy apart from alcohol?

Back home I always bought a herbal tea at the supermarket.

Among the innumerable Thai herbal remedies I'm sure there are some for sleep but I don't know which is which. However any of the shops/kiosks that sell these could advise. Many government hospitals also have small shops selling Thai FDA approved herbal remedies and the staff there would likewise know.

You can also get Valerian here (Mega brand) which has a mild sedative effect and helps some people.

All that aside, unless she has recently changed time zones or is in a new place, 4 days of not sleeping well means something IS bothering her contrary to what she says.

Thanks Sheryl. We have our village/family wedding coming up, maybe she has gone into saving face mode.
