Let him rot....the pig should have to crawl into court.

So according to you he is guilty as charged - these are allegations. Does an allegation automatically mean guilt??

Let the courts decide his guilt or innocence before you start with the hang em high posts. After all one day a person may make an allegation against you. Would you want that allegation perceived as guilt?

You are exactly right.

OK, if the guy turns out to be judged guilty 'after due process' he should be punished in accordance with the law.

Many of the posters here on this or any other like thread would make great vigilantes of could perhaps sign up for the Klu Klux Klan (they 'the Klan' are always on the lookout for bigots)

Every time - same old crap same old posters..........just search the keywords or phrases and you get the same people every time

They clearly have issues of their own that they have never confronted or dealt with so we get this wave of "scandalised" sentiment...some sort of indignation by proxy? People who would find it hard to understand the basic intricacies of a case or even understand a newspaper report feel they can form an opinion on these cases with the scantest of information and then recommend penalties that are at odds with centuries of civilisation and thought.

Yes he could be innocent, he might be the victim of abuse by small children who took pornographic photos of themselves with him. It is Thailand after all. sad.png

If I was being accused of something as serious as this and I was innocent, all you would see is a Thaddeus shaped blur heading for the horizon.

They also allege he emailed some obscene pictures overseas, suggesting he was part of an international paedophilia network.

Email a few piccys and suddenly you're part of an international paed network. Wonder what other conspiracy theories they'll come up with!

Sorry: I don't know how to cut and quote.

At 93? This guy was even capable of sexual acts? This guy is well past his prime. Let it go to court, view the evidence, then let his fate take its course.

I would like to point out that digital penetration does not require one to be in their prime. One does not have to be in their prime (goodness!) to sexually molest others. There are quite a few techniques which do not require priming.

Visa run?? - fairly easy to turn an innocent visa run into something more sinister with a couple of chosen words.

So sad for the victims. And again this gives Thai government another reason to make it harder for farangs to live in Thailand. This is what makes it bad for us. One day Thailand will no longer allow us to live in such a beautiful and wonderful country.

And you'd be right behind me. Wouldn't see me for dust. I'd be gone.

Look at previous news media on this man. He illegally walked across the border into Burma - from memory via a river bed. He did not process through government immigration posts.

Did the pictures show that he was doing bad things? I do not think so, he is over 90. Did anyone of you had a booner at 93? Who knows about computers at that age?

Where is smoke there is fire.

I think it's an money issue again.

You don't need to "have a booner" to rape children.

Fingers can do the trick or if you don't believe I have a police baton here let's see if me not having a "booner" means you haven't been raped.

But they aren't talking about guilt or innocence, they are talking bout dropping the charges. Being sick is no excuse to be let off. Lock him in a prison infirmary until the trial.

People over 90 can have sex. They can also use Viagra.

A Belgian Roman Catholic Bishop has admitted child abuse but has not been brought before

a Court. How does that fit in with "Let the courts decide his guilt or innocence ..."?

too many maniacs, pervert and pedophiles around the world.....the thai or other police are right to give a hard time to all this scum..!

legging it to Myannmar and posing au naturale with kiddies pretty much makes him look guilty wouldn't you say? Thai coppers are world famous for creating extra work for themselfs and going across borders for nothing. Assuming he is the dirty sex case he has been accused of I would be inclined to show him the exact compassion he showed the kids. Burn in hell scumbag.

!00% A paid up member of the hang em high brigade and proud of it!

Yes let the court decide

but dont let the scum out while awating the court.

He will do it again, and again until he dies.

which cant happen soon enough, IMHO

I really don't think the man is in any physical condition to do anything, except perhaps soil his underwear.

And what if the allegations cannot be substantiated? Are you in favour of detaining people based on an unsubstantiated allegations?

Get it out in the open. If there is actual verifiable evidence that the man did something wrong and is a threat to society, then by all means, detain him. Unfortunately, the police and prosecutor haven't made much of a case against him. I trust the BiB as far as I can spit.

At last. The voice of sanity to counter the emotion charged posts of the lower common denominator who seem to not have the slightest inkling of the concept of jurisprudence. Living in LOS must be heaven for them - until a hand is put on their shoulder.

Would you leave him alone with your kids or grand kids?

He should not be released on compassionate grounds, he

should not be given parole as he is a proven flight risk

Karl Joseph Kraus, a former railway worker from Sydney, wants a court to
drop the charges because he says he is suffering from terminal prostate
cancer.

“I’ll be dead,” Mr Kraus told Fairfax Media from a court cell in the northern Thai city of Chiang Mai.

“Nobody helps me. This is terrible … they put me in jail when I was sick,” he said.

“I can’t walk but they still put me in prison.”

A lawyer acting for Mr Kraus is gathering evidence from doctors, which
he says will lead to Chiang Mai court dismissing the charges on the
basis his client is unfit to stand trial.

So, apparently Mr. Kraus wants a court to drop charges because he's suffering from prostrate cancer. How about him wanting the court to drop charges because the allegations are absolutely false and evidence planted? You know, something a wee bit more strongly worded? Him later stating that he did nothing wrong means absolutely nothing. Many sociopaths think there was nothing wrong with their prior misdeeds.

I am sure many people out there falsely accused of a terrible crime would go to heaven and earth to profess their innocence, with much more conviction than trying the terminal illness sympathy ploy.

Mr. Kraus is no stranger to these types of allegations. Maybe that tells you something?
