Anyone ever refinished the garbage job of half-assed done chap on a wall? It is truly the pits and you don't see it until a light source hits it. During the day, especially when they were doing it, it looked fine. But after they are long gone and of course paid in full....you see just how bad it really is when the light fixtures are all in and the lights are on. I am going to wait another couple of years before I repaint the inside and do it then. Another thing to keep in mind when building here....no one gives a sh*t about the ceiling to wall joints...meaning they aren't taped like in a conventional gypsum surfaced room, house. Masonry wall to gypsum ceiling interface is completely ignored by those doing it. I know regular float tape won't do the trick, but use some kind of elastic, paintable sealant before the paint goes on and that should take care of that. Where I come from this is part of the painters job, but not here unless you catch it in time and insist it will be done correctly. All of this I will be doing when I refinish and repaint in a couple of years. ett
